Marie Bouzkova was born on July 21 1998, in the capital city of Prague in the Czech Republic. She is now a professional tennis player in the Czech Republic. So far, she has three double titles on the WTA Tour to her credit. 

She has also won 12 singles titles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. She attained her career-high WTA singles ranking of 46 on 31 August 2020 and on 21 March 2022, she peaked at No. 26 in the WTA doubles rankings.

  • Marie Bouzkova was born on July 21, 1998, in Prague, the Czech Republic to Milan and Kveta.
  • She also has a younger brother, Benjamin Milan.
  • Her parents owned a tennis club and due to that, she began playing tennis from a very young age.

Career

  • In 2013, she made her professional debut at Katowice.
  • In 2014, She won the US Open girls’ singles title by defeating Anhelina Kalinina in the final.
  • In the same year, she also won her first singles title on the ITF Circuit.
  • In 2015, she made her WTA Tour debut at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, where she lost in the first round to Sesil Karatantcheva. 
  • In the same year, she won three singles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit.

  • Soon after that, she rose to prominence when she reached the semifinals at the Canadian Open. Here she defeated Leylah Annie Fernandez, Sloane Stephens, Jeļena Ostapenko and Simona Halep en route but unfortunately lost to Serena Williams in the semifinals.
  • She reached her first WTA tournament final at the 2020 Monterrey Open where she lost to Elina Svitolina.
  • In the same year, At Brisbane International, she lost the first round to Madison Keys.
  • Soon after that at the Cincinnati Open, she reached the third round where she lost to Anett Kontaveit.
  • In 2021, she won her first WTA tournament doubles title at the Birmingham Classic by partnering with Lucie Hradecká, where they defeated Ons Jabeur and Ellen Perez.
