Anhelina Kalinina was born on February 7 1997, in Nova Kakhovka which is a city in Kherson Oblast of southern Ukraine. She is now a professional tennis player for Ukraine.
Until now, she has won 15 singles titles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On 31 January 2022, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 48. On 15 July 2019, she peaked at No. 196 in the WTA doubles rankings.
She is very often referred to as a child star of the game as she showed early signs of interest in the sport. In fact, Kalinina was part of the ITF Development Program as a junior and enjoyed a steady progression up to the WTA Tour.
As a junior in 2014, Kalinina partnered with Elizaveta Kulichkova and won the girls’ doubles tournament at the Australian Open, defeating Katie Boulter and Ivana Jorović in the final. She then reached the final of the Junior US Open, but unfortunately lost to Marie Bouzková.
